Internal Medicine is the branch of medicine that specializes in diseases that affect adults in general, guiding the diagnosis, non-surgical treatment and prevention of their complications.
An internist must study general medicine, with a duration of 7 years and then carry out the specialty of internal medicine which has a duration of 4 years.
It is important that your doctor is certified as an internist before the Mexican College of Internal Medicine.
